Superintendent's Message
Welcome to the Midview Local Schools website!
As your new Superintendent, I am deeply honored and excited to serve this incredible community. Having spent the last seven years as your Assistant Superintendent, I have witnessed firsthand the dedication, talent, and passion that define our district. My family’s roots run deep in Lorain County, and the opportunity to lead Midview Local Schools is both a privilege and a homecoming.
Building on a Strong Foundation: As we begin the 2024-25 school year, we continue to build on the solid foundation laid by Dr. Bruce Willingham and the remarkable achievements of our students and staff. Our district’s commitment to excellence remains unwavering, and we are poised for another year of growth and innovation. Our strategic plan is guided by our vision to be a premier educational institution known for our academic, artistic, and athletic excellence. Our mission to provide a safe, supportive, and challenging learning environment for all students remains at the forefront of our efforts.
Priorities and Initiatives
Safety and Well-being: Ensuring the safety and well-being of our students and staff is our top priority. This year, we have enhanced our security measures and are proud to have two school resource officers on campus. We continue to focus on social-emotional learning (SEL) to support our students in navigating an ever-changing world.
Educational Excellence: We are expanding our unique educational pathways, offering courses that equip our students with 21st-century skills. From Biomedical Science to Computer Gaming, we strive to provide diverse and innovative learning opportunities.
Community Engagement: I believe in strong trust, communication, and having fun while believing in one another. Challenging our staff to be the best they can be and creating the best learning environment for our students are my core values. I am committed to being approachable and available for our staff, families, and students, while remaining visible in the community.
Facility Maintenance: We are focused on maintaining our buildings and grounds to ensure a safe and supportive environment for our students. As you return to campus for the 24-25 school year, you will notice a lot of improvements externally, especially at our football field, but there were even more improvements done internally in our buildings to ensure they are functioning at high levels for our staff and students! Our goal is to make Midview a top-notch learning institution highly regarded in Lorain County and the State of Ohio.
Moving Forward Together
There are incredible opportunities ahead, and we are committed to making this school year one of action. Transparency and proactive communication will be key to our success. We will keep the community updated on our progress and welcome your questions and feedback. As always, we encourage you to stay connected with us through our district communication channels:
